LAURIE STOECKERT

SCVIM BOARD OF DIRECTORS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Laurie Stoeckert joined Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine in March 2019 and quickly rose to the position of Director of Qualifying where she streamlined the process for getting patients qualifed for SCVIM services (a state requirement) including cutting the time it took for each patient by more than 50%.

Laurie is highly motivated and experienced in medical administration.  Her background includes healcare human resources, hosptial unit coordinator, dental office management, dental office consultant, and elementary education.  Medically, Laurie is both a trained Health Unit Coordinator and Phlebotomist.

Laurie moved to Brevard County in August 2012 from the Dallas, TX area following the retirement of her husband.  She has two adult children (UCF graduates) that now reside in Orlando.  Laurie is passionate about patient care and strives to ensure that patients are well taken care of.  Laurie is also a 'lean' thinker, always looking for ways to improve process and flow.

Laurie was appointed Executive Director effective, September 2022.
